Political Karaoke

I just caught the end of a piece on the World Service about a sort of karaoke, where people give political speeches, instead of singing. They played a clip of someone doing a Sarah Palin speech. Perfect, right down to the smug tone in the voice.

Knowing what sorts of discussions happen in the pub when we all gather after a green party meeting (and I’ve seen certain people get out pen and paper to analyse voting predictions), I’m not really surprised that someone came up with this. I just wish it’d come to Manchester or Edinburgh.

Update: I found the Web-site for political karaoke, or ‘Politaoke’ at www.politaoke.com.
